A Successful TEVAR in Complex Aortic Coarctation

We recently performed a Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair (TEVAR) on a 22-year-old male presenting with uncontrolled hypertension.

“`

Diagnostic evaluation revealed coarctation of the aorta with a significant translesional gradient of 50 mm Hg, along with a post-stenotic aneurysm.

The procedure involved deployment of a Zephyr CS stent graft (18 ร— 69 mm), followed by post-dilation using a 24 ร— 60 mm Andromed balloon.

The final outcome was excellent, with complete resolution of the translesional gradient.

The patient will remain under close follow-up, with CT imaging planned after 2 months.
